Our Process

Discovery

Defining the Destination:

During our first few discussions, we get down to the real basics of what your website should do. What does it really need to be able to do at its core? We define those needs, then build on levels of features and scope to round out what the mission really is and concretely define the expectations. One of the tools we use to start this process is our Client Ideas Worksheet.

Planning

Creating a Route:

Information Architecture: A virtual blueprint of the website that outlines how we'll lead people through the site. Often, this is developed from stats and goals available from analytics and other traffic metrics programs.

Wireframing: These are “outlines” of the site to establish where navigation points will live, how images and information will be presented, and the like. There is no color or branding yet.  This strategy makes the planning process super fast and agile.

Style Guides: Similar to what an interior designer would do, style guides establish the website’s overall look and feel using swatches, colors, fonts, and other references.

Development

Building the Solution:

Design/Final Layout: Here, we visually construct designs of the approved wireframes using the style guide elements for final client approval. These get handed to our in-house programmers.

Programming: It’s in this stage that we actually make the site “live” online - and it’s much more complicated than that simple description!

Content

Adding the Message:

Every beautiful building is really only there to showcase what it contains. Content is key. Often times great photography is a key element in getting your message across as well as text. We have relationships with fantastic photographers as well as genius copywriters so just let us know if you're interested in hiring a specialist.

All of our sites include a content management system that allows you to craft your text for the search engines and your users to a fine detail, but if you require assistance entering or developing your content we are ready to consult and jump in for the heavy lifting.

Support

Your Home Base:

Training: Since all of our solutions use content management systems, we train you on how to use your website while it's at “test.” You’ll use this knowledge and our continued support to help you enter content into the site. Once everything’s “there,” we launch!

Support: For the first 30 days after your site launches, we provide free support to help you continue learning and using your site effectively and resolve any “bugs” thatmay arise. After that, we consider ourselves your online business resource and will help you evolve and improve your site asyou move forward in response to feedback or changing business conditions.
